  • The post failed to point out that Senator Seitz (R) who voiced concerns over the bill and prepared to vote against it in committee was replaced at the last minute by another senator who did vote for it. Seitz and Hughes (R) would have tied the vote in committee before it could move forward.

  • So i should abort my second child when I was pregnant? I was on birth control but still found myself accidently pregnant with #2 and refused coverage by the company. I am pro-choice but my husband and I just could not bring oursleves to abort our son's little brother.

  • Uh, tried that. Birth control is only 99% effective at its best. Some of us still get pregnant and have to face this. Don't be so quick to judge.

  • Maternity riders often have a waiting period that they do not reveal. We were very careful about our purchase and our practices. Yet, fate intervened. I was told that despite paying a premium for a few months, coverage would not begin for 7 more months.

  • We had private coverage when I chose to stay home with our first. We did not plan for another child but purchased a maternity rider just in case. Surprise! I was unexpectedly pregnant after 2 months and was told the birth would not be covered.

  • I was a cheerleader and coach. I did seek out additional training but I must admit that there was little out there. When I resigned, the person who replaced me had no experience. She was the school secretary who was willing to take the job and money. Yes, the program suggered.

  • As a former cheerleader and coach, YES!!! My replacement was a 250 lb, school secretary with no experience or training.
